Decorating with chalk paint

While browsing through our favorite design magazine, we completely fell in love with a wall that was turned into a chalkboard with one simple coat of chalk paint. Though we didn’t have an entire wall to work with, we found some smaller objects around our house that we could apply the same idea to. Just chalk it up to good old-fashioned resourcefulness. Here are a few noteworthy finds:
Stop trying to keep track of those dangly wine charms that always fall off and just paint the bases of your wine glasses with chalk paint. Guests at your next dinner party just need to sign their glass and sip away!
Want your sweetheart to forget-you-not? Instead of just giving them flowers, give them flowers in a vase painted with chalk paint. Now is your chance to finally debut that love poem you’ve been rewriting for months.
For those who are tired of remembering where everything is in their kitchen, present company included, a simple coat of chalk paint on cupboard door panels will allow us to keep track of dishware and spices, grocery list add-ons, even notes-to-self. No more string on our fingers.
When the party’s over or you’ve had enough of one message on your cupboard, just wipe the slate (or vase, or juice glass) clean and start a new one! Write to us about your uses with chalk paint. We promise we won’t erase them.

How do you apply the chalk paint on glass stemware?
